life is a journey…expect the unexpected !!! ;)

hei…what’s your new year resolution(s)?  I bet you have one(s)…I have some actually, and as usual being discipline is on my number 1 list, but…huuuummmm…let’s see by the end of 2006 whether I can be discipline or just the same as (many years) before…

About 2005 itself, not bad at all !!! As always, the ALMIGHTY UP THERE always does a GREAT work !!! THANK YOU !!!  Settled down back in Jakarta on january, cida got married on february, started a new job on april, met many new people - be friends with some of them, new environment, learn many new-exciting-yetsomefrustrating- things, has a new niece from cika on august (coming soon one more, btw), able to visit Lao PDR finally, travel to other countries in Asia -only twice for a real vacation (and dating ;p), though.  Other than that?  Hmmmm…many incidents, but better just learned something from them…Everything happens for a reason, right?

For 2006, got some plans, as I told you before…One of them is to help one of my mbaks in Sumba (thats different from Sumbawa ya teman-teman…).  She is  having this community, called SOPAN (Solidaritas Perempuan dan Anak - Solidarity for Woman and Children).  It’s long to describe in details what the SOPAN will do (you can ask me for the brief proposal if you’re interested). 

But briefly, they want to empower the women and children in Sumba.  I wanna help them finding the donation for that.  And since, as always, I’m more concern about the children than the women, I decide to help them mainly for the children empowerment activities. 

Here is the plan:
They want to open a ‘Rumah Anak’ where children can read, play, and do many kinds of activities (watching movies, theater, music, etc.).  Btw, do you know that many Sumbanese can’t read well even they’re already in college?

SO…here is what you can do to help as well:

We need money (for sure…), children books, children movies, toys, VCD / DVD Player, and anything that come across your mind that might be needed in ‘Rumah Anak’.  If you’re interested to donate (money, no matter how much it is, or anything, used things as long as it’s still usable are also OK…), just contact me, ok…

Maybe we can’t help much, but better than keep complaining on government policies that’s Java oriented, why don’t we do something?  No matter how small it is, right…?
