beauty is in the eye of the beholder…

One day a father of a very wealthy
family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing him how poor people lived.
They spent a couple of days and nights on
the farm, of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father
asked his son,
"How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people
live?" asked the father.

The son answered:
"I saw that we have
one dog and they have four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle
of our garden;
    they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden;

    they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard;
     they
have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on;

    they have fields that go beyond their sight.
We have servants to serve us;
     but they
serve others.
We buy our food;
     but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to
protect us;
    they have friends to protect them."

The father was SPEECHLESS.
Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for
showing me how poor we are!"

Isn’t perspective a wonderful thing? Just imagine, what would happen if we all give thanks for everything we
have, instead of worrying about what we don’t have.

Count your blessings, NOT your trouble…

Carpe diem!

Hiiiiiiiiiiii…

This is my first posting in this blog…YEYYY !!!
Actually this is my second blog…If you don’t have anthing to do, bored browsing or waiting for something (read:  the clock to finally reach 5 p.m ;)), feel free to read my other blog:  here.

I don’t know why I change to this friendster blog now…But, if you ask me, and I have to answer, I guess it’s all back to what I wrote as the title of this blog:  LIFE IS A JOURNEY.  A journey with destination to reach, and on our way to reach it, there are many challenges, many lessons to be learned, transit here and there, and we have to face some (if not many) forces that drive us where to go.  Like a journey also, there are stages in our life that make us closer or farther to our destination.

The previous blog I wrote is for one stage in my life.  But life (or should I say ‘the journey’?) goes on…And here I am now, writing another stage of my life…

So, here I am…try to do something useful while waiting the clock strikes 5 p.m.  Time to go!!! hehehe…And that ’something useful’ is filling up these questions below that I got from Friendster’s Bulletin Board…
